ASI Peak Adventures offers outdoor trips, adventure trips, summer camps, and an on-campus ropes course. The program also provides day hikes, backpacking trips to Point Reyes National Seashore, rock-climbing classes, and classes and clinics related to outdoor activities. It operates a full-service bike shop that handles bicycle repair, gear rentals, and retail.

In the early 1970s, two Sacramento State students started the effort that led to this program, and in 1989 it was designated a program of Associated Students, Inc. Peak Adventures’ stated purpose is to foster personal growth, leadership, and connections through outdoor experiences. ASI Peak Adventures is an outdoor recreation program at California State University, Sacramento and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a program of Associated Students, Inc. The organization states that it is committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in everything it does. It employs eight professional staff members and over 50 student and non-student staff members who serve as outdoor adventure trip leaders, ropes course facilitators, bike shop mechanics, and front desk staff. The program has been featured on the Visit Sacramento Podcast and the State Hornet Podcast.
