First Tee – Greater Sacramento

First Tee – Greater Sacramento offers junior golf programs and golf-based personal growth programs that include summer camps, after school programs, and Saturday programs. The program also runs a competitive junior golf tour, the California Eagles (Special Olympics), adaptive physical education classes, the Swing Club for the Blind, and the First Tee School Program. It serves juniors with a variety of programs that reach over 58,000 young people annually and has created a farm system that supports children from early childhood until they reach college.

First Tee – Greater Sacramento has run youth development programs throughout the year since 1983 and is one of First Tee’s largest chapters. Its mission states that it is a youth development organization that integrates the game of golf with a life skills curriculum through active learning experiences. The chapter is described as a leader in the field of programs for young people and the disabled. Corporations and foundations provide financial and brand-building assistance to support the mission and community impact of First Tee – Greater Sacramento.
