Premier Fencing Academy Beginner Summer Camps introduce kids to fencing basics through footwork, drills, light drills, and bouting. Each camp day also includes games as part of the daily activities. No experience is needed, and all gear is provided for participants.

• Schedule: One-week camps, 8 sessions from June to August 2026, 9 am–3 pm daily with a lunch break from 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m.

Introductory training in this program is the starting point for kids aged 7–14 and is structured to master the fundamentals of fencing, build endurance, and participate in light drills. The camp offers hands-on experience that includes activities to develop strength and coordination in a fun and engaging environment. Enrollment is limited to 24 participants per camp session, and slots are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Graduates of the beginner summer camp are eligible to enroll in the Bronze program. Each one-week beginner summer camp is described as turning curious kids into confident athletes in just one week, with 8 sessions offered from June to August, 9 a.m.–3 p.m. daily, and only 24 spots per session.

Premier Fencing Academy’s beginner camps are led by professional coaches with over 20 years of experience. The leadership team includes Tsvetelina and Kristiyan, a wife-and-husband coaching team and parents of three, based in Sacramento, California. Premier Fencing Academy was established in 2006 in Sacramento, California. The mission of the Premier Fencing Foundation is to provide resources to help athletes become their best selves on and off the piste. The academy is described as one of the top fencing academies in the nation, training hundreds of athletes who have qualified for USA National Teams, earned medals at regional, national, and international levels, and been recruited by Ivy League and Division I universities.

Each camper receives a PFA team shirt and a draw-string backpack, and loaner gear is provided, including mask, jacket, glove, and saber. Participants are asked to wear comfortable gym clothes and clean tennis shoes, bring water and snacks, and bring a healthy lunch for the 12 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. lunch break.
