About
ASI Peak Adventures offers outdoor trips, adventure trips, summer camps, and an on-campus ropes course called the Challenge Center. The program also provides day hikes, backpacking trips to Point Reyes National Seashore, rock-climbing classes, classes and clinics, gear rentals, bicycle repair, and a full-service bike shop with retail.

ASI Peak Adventures is an outdoor recreation program of Associated Students, Inc. at Sacramento State. Its stated purpose is to foster personal growth, leadership, and connections through outdoor experiences. The program is committed to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of its work, and notes that all are welcome at Peak Adventures.
In the early 1970s, two Sacramento State students established a tool co-op that became the campus’s first bicycle shop, and in 1989 the program was designated a program of Associated Students, Inc. and became known as Peak Adventures. The program employs eight professional staff members plus over 50 student and non-student staff members, and its Challenge Center ropes course was designed and constructed by these staff members. ASI Peak Adventures has been featured on the Visit Sacramento Podcast and on the State Hornet Podcast.
