About
Sacramento Youth Soccer League offers soccer, referee training, coaching clinics, and TOPSoccer. The program includes free referee training for new referees and a modified version of soccer through TOPSoccer for special needs kids to play with high-school age “Buddies” (volunteers).
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Registration will begin with most clubs on April 1 for the fall season.
The Sacramento Youth Soccer League places a top priority on the health and safety of its players, families, and volunteers. Free referee training is available for new referees, and each new referee referred by a club receives a free uniform. After being an official for 10 games, new referees receive a refund of their referee class fees from Sacramento Youth Soccer League, while referees who have been previously licensed are not eligible for the free uniform or class refund. All West Sac and Parkway fields are available rain or shine, and Sacramento fields follow Sac City rules, with coaches required to call the Rain Line at 916-277-2336 and for Home and Visitor Coaches to keep in contact with each other about field availability. TOPSoccer is a modified version of soccer that gives special needs kids from 4 to 21 the chance to play soccer with their peers and high-school age “Buddies” (volunteers). In 2024, Sacramento Youth Soccer League will hold free coaching clinics for its coaches, and it plans for a full 2025/2026 season.
