Shop Class Kids' Programs offers Shop Class Inventors Camps, Shop Class After-School Cubs, After School Art & Crafting Club, Weekend Camps, Inventor's Club for Home School and Charter Students, "Me and My" Kids Memberships, Project-Based Parties, and Tiny Home Academy. About the provider

Shop Class was founded in 2021. The organization says its mission is to build confidence and creative courage in the kids it coaches, and that it also fosters community resilience, youth empowerment, and neighborhood learning. Community events include the Oak Park Fix-it Cafe, Free Toolbox 101 Class, Poetry & Open Mic, ADHD Support Squad, and Community Service Projects, along with weekly ceramics, welding, meditation, STEAM-focused classes and events, peer support groups, and project-based learning activities.

• Summer Camps / Shop Class Inventors Camps — Ages 7-11 and 12-17 · One-week camp, Mon-Fri 8:30 to 4:30 · Kids learn design, makers' arts, and tool use. A neuro-inclusive community.
• Clubs / Shop Class After-School Cubs — Ages 7-11 and 12-17 · 2 hours each week for 4 weeks · Consistent, directed shop time to explore new projects and grow skills in woodworking, prototyping, and climate action.
• After School Art & Crafting Club — Ages 8-15 · T/W/T/F from 3-5 pm · $75 per week · Includes all materials for independent and coach-led crafting activities. Snacks are included.
• Weekend Camps — Ages 12-17 · An immersive weekend camp that features projects and learning opportunities.
• Inventor's Club for Home School and Charter Students — Ages 8-11 and 12-17 · Meets 4x a month on Tuesdays; Ages 8-11 meet 9-11a; Ages 12-17 meet 12-2p · $175 per month · Exploration of 3D printing, laser cutting & engraving, CAD, soldering, electronics, prototyping, machine operations, manufacturing, and troubleshooting. Includes materials and snacks.
• "Me and My" Kids Memberships — Kids and caretakers · $100 per month
• Project-Based Parties — Kids · Seasonal, themed programs with intensive, project-focused experiences and an introduction to maker arts and building. All-inclusive packages available with food, materials, and personal coaching.
• Tiny Home Academy — The flagship program; a 4-week class that helps learners explore carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and sustainability.

Shop Class is proudly operated by neurodivergent humans and describes its programs as neuro-inclusive. It states some programs include materials and snacks, and that the "Me and My" Kids Membership is unsupervised. It also states that adults and children can work together using tools and maker's equipment during open-shop hours.
