About
TOPSoccer is a program where participants play a modified version of soccer. Players take part in games and activities that are adapted to support each child’s participation. Children play soccer with their peers and with high-school age “Buddies,” who are volunteers.
• Ages: 4–18 years old
• Schedule: Spring 2026 playdates on March 22, April 19, April 26, May 3, May 10, and June 7 from 9am–10am
• Price: $60 and includes a uniform, with a “NoUniform” voucher available for those who already have a uniform, and no cost for Buddies and Coaches
TOPSoccer is a program of SYSL that enables young athletes with special needs to develop their physical fitness, technical skills, courage, and self-esteem through playing soccer. The program emphasizes development and meaningful participation rather than competition. One-on-one assistance is available for children who need it. If a person is 13–17, they can participate as a TOPSoccer Buddy, and if a person is 18 or older, they can volunteer as a Buddy or Coach and will go through a background check. The program notes that volunteering is suitable for activities such as volunteer hours and senior projects. Parents can network with other families for support and information-sharing. Alta clients can use a Top Soccer POS Agreement-PA2525 and voucher code “ALTACRC'” to register. In-person registration is available at any of the fall play dates. There is no cost for Buddies and Coaches. Families and volunteers can get the latest updates on Facebook. For questions or more information, the program can be contacted at [email protected].
