The Strengthening Families Program is a 10-session series, meeting once a week, for parents and youth 10–17 years of age. The Parent Project Program is a 10-session series, meeting once a week, for parents and caregivers only of youth 11–18 years of age. Loving Solutions is a 10-session series, meeting once a week, for parents and caregivers only of youth 5–10 years of age. Familia Adelante is an evidence-based family education program for parents, caregivers, and youth 10–14 years of age. Step Up Mentoring offers mentoring in which youth learn to set goals, go on field trips, explore careers, and learn life skills for success. Partners For Peace provides mentoring programs in Salinas and Soledad for 11–14 year old boys and girls. The Rainbow Connections Family Support Program offers group and one-on-one family support opportunities and is part of a collective effort in Monterey County to support the mental health and wellness of LGBTQIA+ students.
Partners For Peace states its mission as: “We build strong families for a peaceful community.” Named individuals connected to the program include Fernando Martinez, Brenda Lizet Zuniga, Mateo Sahid Martinez Zuniga, Elizabeth Hernandez, Evelyn, and Esmeralda. One participant, Fernando Martinez of Salinas, described attending workshops offered by Partners For Peace as “a blessing” in his family of three. Parent Elizabeth Hernandez shared that being a single parent is difficult and that a counselor referred her to Partners For Peace for help.
