San Anselmo World Cup

San Anselmo World Cup is a month-long, community-run 5v5 street soccer activation that includes 5v5 street soccer, pickup games, free street skills clinics, a tournament weekend, and watch parties. Every squad plays under a World Cup country, and matches run through the summer of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. Open courts are available daily with no sign-up required, and volunteers ages 16 and up serve as Court Monitors who help set out equipment while players sign a waiver to play.

• Price: Free street skills clinics and free drop-in clinics throughout the month

Tournament week runs Monday July 13 through Saturday July 18, with pickup games every day. On weekdays, kids play from 4–8pm and adults from 6–8pm, and on weekends kids play from 12–8pm and adults from 4–8pm. Finals weekend runs July 16–19 across age groups, including men’s and women’s games, and watch parties include matches such as the Tuesday July 14 semi-final between France and Spain at 12:00 PM and the Wednesday July 15 semi-final between England and Argentina at 12:00 PM.

San Anselmo World Cup is built for locals, including friends, family, longtime rivals, and first-timers. Court repair and equipment are funded by donations from local businesses, community organizations, and families, who are recognized as Title Sponsors and Champion Sponsors. The program operates with no governing body and no sanctioned league, and is described as “no organization, no overhead — just neighbors making something real happen,” in partnership with these local supporters.
