For over 28 years, San Domenico Summer Camps have operated as a destination for children of all ages, and the 2025–26 school year marks 175 years of values-driven education at San Domenico School, which has a tradition of innovation and academic excellence since 1850. San Domenico is California’s first independent school, Marin County’s only K–12 school, and the only K–12 day and boarding school in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a 9:1 student to faculty ratio and 20+ countries represented among 140 boarding students. The school is referenced with strong praise in the latest CAIS Accreditation Report, and its mission is to provide exceptional education rooted in inquiry, reflection, and purpose.

The 2026 camp lineup is offered on a 515-acre campus and includes a free daily swim in a beautiful pool, a hot lunch program, early and after care, and a convenient free bus service supporting Marin families. Explorers Garden & Nature Camp uses garden and nature areas and is immersed in hands-on outdoor learning, and Ceramics and Studio Art Camp takes place in creekside studios with brand new potters wheels. The Counselor-in-Training (CIT) Program is an unpaid volunteer position that can serve to qualify for becoming a paid camp staff member, and registration for San Domenico Summer Camps is at Homeroom.com.

Individual camp instructors and partners include Nexplore (3D Printing Camp with 3Doodler Pens), The Game Academy (Adventure Gaming Camp), Monica Kurihara and Mia Christensson (Art & Science Camp), Sally Houston (Art Explorations), Shu-Chen Lin (Asian Cooking Camp), Bruce Gustin (Building Games in Unity), Brendan Lenz (Ceramics and Studio Art Camp), Luka Djurovic (Cinematics in Unreal Engine), CodeREV Kids (Code & Play: Python Game Builders), Nimisha Gandhi (Cooking Around the World), Athena Miros (Dancing Through Life! camps), Ari Giancaterino (Digital Music Camp), Shelley Flint (Explorers Camp), Harry Maxon (Filmmaking for Girls and Filmmaking for Middle Schoolers), and Shannon Rowbury and Mark Churchill (Cross Country Running Camp). The Summer Camps contact is 415-258-1900 x1806 and [email protected], and the Rooted for the Future Speaker Series is part of the school’s 175th anniversary celebration. Community involvement at San Domenico includes service-learning projects such as environmental improvement projects, supporting neighbors in need, a Lower School book sale supporting education in Afghanistan, third graders making blankets for senior citizens, Lower School students supporting global access to clean water, and Sharing the Holiday Warmth care packages for Marin County neighbors in need.
