ACE Adventures Summer Camp offers athletic outdoor games, hands-on S.T.E.A.M. experiences, and project-based learning activities. Campers take part in art projects such as creating prints inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night using shaving cream and paint, making artwork while lying down inspired by Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel, and blending colorful tissue paper to build a background inspired by Monet’s Water Lilies. Additional activities include color mixing with paint-splash Twister, designing original sculptures using recycled materials, experimenting with watercolor, oil pastels, and clay, game show–style activities, themed obstacle courses and challenges, creative projects like designing paper squishy pals and CD spinners, making homemade ice cream in a bag, water balloon yo-yos, and a variety of field trips and end-of-summer events.
• Ages: 4–12 years old
• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., from June 15 through August 14, 2026, with four themed sessions offered on a weekly enrollment basis
• Price: Session 1 ranges from $440.00–$550.00 per week; Sessions 2–4 are $550.00 per week; an All Access Summer 2026 Pass is $3,850.00, with separate non-refundable deposits and a 20% sibling and SCSD staff discount on weekly registrations; field trip fees are billed separately
Afterschool Care Enrichment (ACE), which runs ACE Adventures Summer Camp, was founded by Eve Daskalakis, who has been serving families in the San Carlos childcare community since 2008. ACE is described as a licensed, flexible, and innovative childcare program dedicated to enrichment and youth development, with a mission that emphasizes a warm, family-oriented environment, inclusivity, and recognizing each child as a unique individual. The program states that it focuses on fostering creativity, self-esteem, and personal growth, encourages students to think outside the box, and prioritizes a diverse range of activities that reflect the interests and needs of every child. ACE notes that it aims to build strong, meaningful relationships with students, families, and the wider community and describes itself as an active, involved participant in the community it serves. The program includes daily healthy afternoon snacks with balanced options such as fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, and water, includes lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays in the weekly fees, and uses a professional cleaner for weekly deep cleaning of classrooms.
