About

ACE Adventures Summer Camp offers a mix of athletic outdoor games, hands-on S.T.E.A.M. experiences, and project-based learning activities. Campers take part in art projects such as creating prints inspired by Van Gogh’s Starry Night using shaving cream and paint, making artwork while lying down inspired by Michelangelo painting the Sistine Chapel, and blending colorful tissue paper for backgrounds inspired by Monet’s Water Lilies. Additional activities include paint-splash Twister, designing original sculptures from recycled materials, experimenting with watercolor, oil pastels, and clay, game-show style activities, themed obstacle courses and challenges, movie-themed adventures, creative crafts like paper squishy pals and CD spinners, making homemade ice cream in a bag, water balloon yo-yos, and special events such as a lemonade showdown, a Kaplowee battle against staff, an End of Summer Bash, and an Annual End of Summer BBQ Bash, along with field trips and private theater experiences.

Afterschool Care Enrichment (ACE), which runs ACE Adventures Summer Camp, was founded by Eve Daskalakis, who has been serving families in the San Carlos childcare community since 2008. ACE is a licensed childcare program with a mission focused on enrichment and youth development, using a developmentally appropriate approach that recognizes each child as a unique individual and emphasizes creativity, self-esteem, and personal growth. The program states that it prioritizes a warm, family-oriented, inclusive environment, offers daily structured staff-led activities aligned with S.T.E.A.M. principles, and includes both structured and free-play physical activities, with balanced snacks featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, milk, and water. ACE notes that it is active in the community it serves and highlights daily hygiene routines, essential protective equipment, thorough cleaning practices including weekly deep cleaning by a professional cleaner, and a requirement that children be fever-free for at least 24 hours without fever-reducing medication before returning.

ACE Adventures Summer Camp’s unique features include four themed sessions, S.T.E.A.M. as a vital part of daily programming, and daily choices among structured activities that encourage out-of-the-box thinking and independent exploration of ideas. All elementary school age children in grades TK–6th are welcome, with two separate Summer 2026 camp locations by grade level to allow more age-appropriate programming and accommodate more families. Weekly fees include lunch on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and daily healthy afternoon snacks, and all camp hours between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. are included in tuition. The ACE Adventures All Access Summer 2026 Pass includes all 8 weeks of Summer Camp 2026, Monday–Friday 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and ACE Adventures offers a 20% sibling discount and a 20% discount for SCSD staff members on weekly registrations (not on Adventure Passes). Field trips to destinations such as Aqua Adventure, Gama Ride, Gilroy Gardens, Subpar, bowling, The Great Big Game Show, Top Golf, Rockin Jump, and Round One, as well as Cinepolis Private Theater Experiences for Toy Story 5 and Minions 3, are offered on a first-come, first-served basis with limited space, and campers who do not attend field trips have themed activities on-site.
