Alli Jo’s Swim School offers children’s swim lessons, adult swim lessons, swim team prep, swim team training, and water safety instruction. Swim lessons are available for both kids and adults in structured class sessions.

• Schedule: Classes are taught in two week sessions, Monday–Thursday (8 lessons total)
Alli Jo’s Swim School is a locally owned business since 2012, serving San Diego County with swim lessons and swim team training in multiple locations. The program facilitates swim lessons for kids and adults throughout San Diego County, with instructors currently teaching in La Mesa, Mt. Helix, Spring Valley, La Jolla, and Encinitas, and lessons offered in pools from Encinitas to Chula Vista.
Founder and instructor Alli Jo (Allison Houck / Alli Jo Houck) is a certified Water Safety Instructor through the American Red Cross. Teaching swim lessons to both children and adults has always been her passion, and the summer of 2025 marks her 26th year of teaching individuals how to swim. Her family has a swim school background spanning over 50 years in central California, and she has been described by a local parent this way: “My daughter’s swimming went from frantic to graceful in eight days.”
