Amanda’s Adaptive Martial Arts

Amanda’s Adaptive Martial Arts offers martial arts education that is derived from karate, jiu-jitsu, and muay thai. The program includes kids classes and Cubs classes, with instruction that is repetitive and supported by visuals so children know where to stand. Classes are kept at a small ratio of 6:1, are sensory friendly, and use positive reinforcement.

• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Kids and Cubs classes available on Sundays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays at various times

Founded in 2021, Amanda’s Adaptive Martial Arts focuses on martial arts education for children and adults with various needs in a safe environment, so that all may benefit from sports and martial arts in their lives. The program is specially formulated so that children with disabilities or neurodivergence can be successful in their learning. Amanda’s Adaptive Martial Arts has implemented visual schedules, noise-canceling headphones, attire flexibility, and a sensory-friendly setting, and a visual schedule is provided when needed. Gyms used by the program are ADA compliant, and parents, therapists, or caregivers are welcome to push-in during classes. Amanda’s Adaptive Martial Arts is a Certified Autism Center and a California Certified Autism Center.
