SAY San Diego was founded in 1971 and serves over 30,000 San Diegans annually through more than 40 active programs, including over 4,000 youth every day. SAY San Diego’s mission is to partner with youth, adults, families, and communities to reach their full potential, with a vision of opportunity, access to services, and well-being for all San Diegans. SAY San Diego is a dynamic nonprofit organization with more than 100 dedicated employees and more than 30 programs that focus on the whole child, the whole family, and the whole community, and it values nondiscriminatory services and a work environment that respects and serves all individuals consistent with applicable laws and regulations.

The organization’s leadership includes Chief Executive Officer Louie Nguyen, Chief Financial Officer Jane Drover, Senior Manager of Administration Allie Lindsley, Associate Vice President of Philanthropy Mary Baum, Associate Vice President of People & Culture Lisa Bridges, Vice President of Community Engagement Kevin O'Neill, Vice President of Child and Youth Development Chris Jewell, Vice President of Youth, Adult & Family Wellness Kelly Vales, Child and Youth Development Enrollment lead Beatrice Telles, Accounting & Finance lead Lynn Deng, Information Technology lead Ben Mortensen, Grants Management lead Branka Duknic, and Data & Evaluation lead Jenny Lambert.

SAY San Diego engages the San Diego community by working collaboratively with schools, community coalitions, local government, families, communities, and local leaders to enact positive change and equitable social conditions, and it provides support for key populations such as the region’s local military families. One parent at SAY’s Early Childhood Center shared that their child “has excitedly run into the classroom” since the first day and that the center allows the parent to “feel at ease” while working. Another parent described always feeling welcome at SAY’s Military Family Resource Center and said their daughter looks forward to coming every week.
