San Diego Ballet School

San Diego Ballet School offers Ballet 1, Ballet 2, Ballet 3, Ballet 4, Ballet 5, Ballet 6, Ballet 7, Pointe, Variations, PBT, Theatre/Tap, and Jazz. The schedule includes school year classes, summer classes, and a summer dance camp, and children ages 3 to 18 can take classes listed for their level.

About the provider

The 2026–2027 season celebrates 37 years. The school director is Karen Foster. The mission of the San Diego Ballet is to excite, enrich, and entertain its diverse audience through an imaginative presentation of quality classical and contemporary dance. The school has a popular collaboration with The San Diego Museum of Art.

Recommended classes for each level are determined once a year. If the student is not taking enough classes to continue advancing with their level they may be asked to take an adult or lower level class. SDBS closed on several holiday dates listed in the source.
