About
City Boxing Kid's Program includes training in boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and kids boxing. Classes take place at a gym that offers more than 40 structured training classes every week and provides both private and group lessons in these disciplines. Each class is led by a world-class professional athlete with distinction in their fight disciplines.
• Schedule: Classes start as early as 6:30 AM and continue until 9:00 PM, with each class averaging 1 hour.
Established in 2001, the program is part of a co-ed gym with many women members who train alongside male counterparts. Trainers are both former and current world-class professional fighters, and safety is stated as their number one concern. The gym describes its environment as hard-core while keeping workout training controlled and professional, and it offers a FREE 30-Day Risk-Free Trial. The leadership team includes Denis Grachev, Carlos Baruch Ferreira, Ulises Sierra, and Manny Melchor. The gym reports a diverse membership, including students from nearby colleges, downtown office professionals, and military personnel. The mission statement explains that City Boxing makes its own fighters, does not pay fighters to represent the gym, and does not rely on big-named fighters to attract customers, emphasizing that classes are taught by serious professionals dedicated to the art of teaching and helping others grow as fighters and athletes.
