The camps and year-round outdoor activities are for all girls in grades K–12, and registration is open for 2026 summer camp. Older Camper Leadership (Grades 6–12) includes Program Aides (PAs) for campers entering grades 6–8 and Counselors-in-Training (CITs) for campers entering grades 9–12, who partner with adult staff to lead activities and support younger campers. PAs and CITs may earn service hours by leading activities at camp, and Program Aides is an entry-level camp leadership position at day and sleepaway camps. New PAs must participate in a PA training week held during the first week of day camp or the third session of sleepaway camp, and new CITs must participate in a CIT training week held during the second week of day camp or the first and second sessions of sleepaway camp. Completion of a CIT I program is required before registering as a CIT II, registration is limited to two PA/CIT in Action sessions per camper not including training, and buddy requests are not accepted from PAs or CITs.
Girl Scouts has been blazing trails and redefining what is possible for girls everywhere since 1912, and Girl Scouts San Diego is a 501(c)(3) organization. The mission is to build girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place. The vision is to be viewed and valued as a go-to partner for developing and elevating girl and women leaders in San Diego and Imperial counties. The organization notes that it is supported by adult volunteers and mentors in the community, as well as millions of alums around the globe, and that supporting Girl Scouts makes the community stronger. The program is also celebrating 100 years of World Thinking Day, and some offerings, such as Future You, Limitless You, and Discovering You, focus on building skills for the future and pushing participants to new heights.
