Freestyle Martial Arts offers training in Brazilian jiu-jitsu, Muay Thai, Karate, and self-defense. The program also includes fitness and personal development activities, along with special events such as Break-a-thons and Kick-a-thons.

Freestyle Martial Arts was established in 1986 and has been serving San Diego County for 40 years. It is the home of Team Freestyle, the 2016, 2017, 2023, and 2025 ISKA World Champion Demonstration Team. It states that Freestyle Martial Arts provides a comprehensive program for self-defense, fitness, and personal development, with instructors dedicated to helping families achieve their personal best in children’s and adult martial arts programs. The mission further states goals to empower students to achieve their personal best in life, encourage education, strong morals, and great character, enrich lives through excellent martial arts instruction, inspire others with honor, integrity, and loyalty, and a commitment to make a difference in the world. Community involvement includes annual fundraisers benefiting youth-oriented charities and organizations through Break-a-thons, Kick-a-thons, and community service projects. These efforts have supported Rady Children’s Hospital, Voices for Children, UCSD Burn Unit, Barrio Logan College Institute, Polinsky Children’s Center/Promises 2 Kids, Ronald McDonald House, YMCA of San Diego County, San Diego Parks and Recreation, and other listed causes.
