JA Camps

JA Camps offers hands-on educational activities where campers explore business, careers, and how to be a contributing member of their community. Campers take part in team-building games, explore key economic concepts and job readiness skills, discover unique personality traits, and explore employment soft skills. Depending on the specific camp, activities include building a resume, creating a business plan and product model, creating and presenting a business proposal, completing skills and personality assessments, completing applications, interviewing for jobs, and preparing for the BizTown simulation before going to work at one of 21 businesses in The McGrath Family JA BizTown.

Campers also explore careers and money management, discover career interests through guided self-exploration, gain work experience with mock and professional in-person interviews, participate in a budgeting simulation, make friends and play games, create a vision board of their future, learn about investments, and get an introduction to entrepreneurship. Additional activities include creating a business model, resume building, career interest assessments and exploration, learning the essentials of money management such as credit, loans, and interest, pitching a new business idea to real “sharks,” participating in the Mission Fed JA Finance Park life simulation to manage a budget for a virtual family, stepping into the role of a business CEO in a simulation-based learning experience, exploring business, economics, and the world of work, analyzing outcomes of business decisions, developing business strategies through research and innovative thinking, and taking part in the JA Titan Business Competition and play.

• Schedule: McGrath Family JA BizTown and Mission Fed JA Finance Park Summer Camps run in 5-day sessions, Monday–Friday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm; JA Titan Summer Camp runs in a 3-day session, Monday–Wednesday, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm.
• Price: McGrath Family JA BizTown Summer Camp: $335.00 per camper; Mission Fed JA Finance Park Summer Camp: $335.00 per camper; JA Titan Summer Camp: $99.00 per camper.

JA Camps includes three summer camp programs in 2026: JA BizTown, JA Finance Park, and JA Titan. McGrath Family JA BizTown Summer Camp is for grades 4–6 and uses daily themes called “BizPlan,” “BizProfile,” “BizJobs,” “BizPrep,” and “BizTown.” Mission Fed JA Finance Park Summer Camp is for grades 7–9 and uses daily themes called “Discover MY Future,” “Explore MY Future,” “Ready for MY Future,” “Finance MY Future,” and “Imagine MY Future.” JA Titan Summer Camp is for grades 9–12 and invites campers to step into the shoes of a business CEO in a simulation-based learning experience.
