Learning Jungle Mission Gorge Preschool Program

Learning Jungle Mission Gorge Preschool Program is a play-based, Reggio-inspired program. The program combines play-based learning with a specific delivery method to create the learning environment used with the children. Children spend time in nature-inspired outdoor environments that are set up as an extension of the classroom, with onsite playground access and a balance of playful classrooms, rest areas, and outdoor play.

• Schedule: Open Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:30pm

Learning Jungle opened in 2002 and is a global provider of quality educational child care. Learning Jungle Mission Gorge, formerly known as Little Sprouts, serves the Mission Gorge, Allied Gardens, San Carlos, and Del Cerro communities. Quality educational child care programs at Mission Gorge cater to children 6 weeks to 6 years of age. The program provides all organic meals and follows sanitary practices with policies intended to keep sick children at home to the best of the staff’s ability. Learning Jungle is proud to partner with the state of California to administer General Child Care and Development Programs (CCTR) for families who require financial assistance. The teachers are described as caring, patient, and well-qualified, and families mention that the staff are welcoming, communicative, and invested in the children. Parents also note special events throughout the year such as Week of the Child, teacher appreciation events, and a family picnic. The mission of Learning Jungle is to offer a portfolio of quality educational child care to busy families in an energetic, encouraging, safe, and family-focused environment. The leadership team at this center has been referred to in parent feedback as including a facility director, Ms. Lauren Patlan, a director named Katie, Ms. Tamara as a director, and a center director, Mrs. Edith.
