Legion American Jiu-Jitsu

Legion American Jiu-Jitsu offers Kids Jiu-Jitsu for ages 4 to 14. The kids classes use an age-appropriate, game-based curriculum and include instruction focused on safety, respect, self-control, and anti-bullying skills.

Programs

• 5-Week Beginner Course — Course starts every 2 to 4 weeks; Option A Monday and Wednesday 6:00 pm; Option B Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 pm; bonus class Saturday 12:00 pm · Structured 10-class introduction to jiu-jitsu for people who have never trained before; starts alongside other beginners.
• Kids Jiu-Jitsu — Ages 4 to 14 · Classes 7 days a week · Age-appropriate, game-based curriculum with a focus on safety, respect, self-control, and anti-bullying skills.
• Adult Fundamentals — Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 7:30 to 8:30 pm · Gi and no-gi fundamentals for white belts with 1 to 4 stripes.
• Intermediate-Advanced — Gi classes Monday-Friday 6:00 pm; no-gi classes Tuesday and Thursday 6:00 pm · For blue belt and above, or by green light from a Fundamentals coach.
• Private Lessons — By appointment · 1-on-1 private lessons tailored to strengths, weaknesses, and competition goals.
• Submission Grappling No-Gi Program — No-gi program with 17 classes a week, morning and night, from fundamentals to advanced.
• Parents Program — Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 5:00 pm · Parents class offered four times per week; train at the same time as kids.
• All Levels Classes — Open to every belt, from post-beginner course white belt to black belt.

Legion has been on Miramar Road for six years. The leadership team includes founder Keenan Cornelius, Beginner Course Director Miha Perhavec, and No-Gi Instructor Sloan Clymer. Founder Keenan Cornelius is a 3rd degree black belt and multiple-time world champion.
