Trinity Theatre Company Youth Theatre & Arts Education Programs

Trinity Theatre Company Youth Theatre & Arts Education Programs offers summer camps, youth theatre classes, musical theater classes, arts education productions, and theatre and stage production events. Participants take part in live performances, readings, workshops, and show-related events connected to these programs.

Trinity Theatre Company states that its mission is to present live performances, educational programs, and community events that celebrate the arts. The youth arts education productions take place in Carmel Valley and Mission Valley for ages 8–18, and the organization also runs a New Works Festival that features emerging playwrights and artists. Grown-Up Stage (G.U.S.) programming includes a season of 4–5 fully staged professional plays and musicals each year, with each production running for at least two weekends and geared toward adult and family audiences. This activity is funded in part by City of San Diego Cultural Affairs. One parent testimonial describes a child being cast as Dickon Sowerby in The Secret Garden after working on a monologue and acting confidence with a Trinity Theatre Company teacher, and another testimonial reports a 12-year-old enjoying a performance of “The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged.”
