Outdoor Outreach Programs

Since 1999, Outdoor Outreach Programs has connected more than 20,000 young people with the transformative power of the outdoors. The stated mission is to connect youth to the transformative power of the outdoors. Organization statements note that, since 1999, Outdoor Outreach has provided opportunities for more than 20,000 San Diego youth to explore their world, cultivate belonging, and discover what they are capable of. Youth participants describe first-time experiences such as jumping in waves, building sandcastles, going camping at Joshua Tree, seeing snow at Mount San Jacinto, and learning to surf with Outdoor Outreach Programs.
