San Diego Art Camp offers full-day summer sessions where campers take part in photography, ceramics, drawing, painting, and dance. Indoor art classes in ceramics, drawing, and painting are held in an art room, while outdoor activities such as photography, dance, and museum visits are included in the program schedule.

San Diego Art Camp is led by Val and Jana, who are described as outstanding artists and talented educators, and the program is powered by Val Dostalek. Staff members are originally from Europe and speak English, French, and Czech. San Diego Art Camp is an official educational partner of the Timken Museum of Art, which provides docent-led museum visits and fine art-inspired studio projects for children in the summer program. One camper’s aunt reported that her 9-year-old niece had a blast, brought home many different types of art, and took part in a dance show. Abigail’s grandparents shared that this was the third summer they enrolled their granddaughter and that Val and Jana organized and presented a variety of enriching learning experiences.
