Science Guys of San Diego offers hands-on children’s science programs that include science experiments, games, science shows, after school activity options, science workshops, science stations, in-school field trips, assemblies, festivals, and special event shows. Spectacular Science Parties include one hour of cool, hands-on science experiments presented by one of their fun and crazy scientists. Each week of their science camps is packed with science experiments, games, relationship building, and fun, and their science clubs are interactive, hands-on, inquiry based, and fun.

Science Guys of San Diego describes its programs as the perfect mix of fun and education and refers to this approach as “EDUTAINMENT.” Science shows are described as fun, interactive, and spectacular and are described as great for kids of all ages. Science workshops correspond with science state standards, and Spectacular Science Stations are described as a fit for festivals or events. The program also offers fiestas y espectáculos en español and is locally owned and operated.
Science Guys of San Diego is owned by Kathryn Beamon and Chuck Beamon, with Hannah (“Professor Banana”) serving as Program Manager. In 2022, Kathryn and Chuck moved to California and started the Science Guys of San Diego. The team’s experience includes Kathryn’s Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education and 13 years working in public education in Tennessee; Annika’s Master’s degree in Geology from the University of Nevada, Reno; Connor’s Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies with an emphasis in Elementary Education from SDSU and work as a full-time substitute teacher in the San Diego Unified School District; Cam’s degree in Business Marketing from SDSU; Crystal’s degrees in Communications and Linguistics and current study in Nuclear Medicine; Dr. Sunshine’s Bachelor of Science in Communication from Old Dominion University; Hannah’s Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Cal Poly SLO and MFA from Eastern Oregon University; Krystal’s 8 years of experience as a teaching artist; and Jakilynn’s current study in Family and Child Education. The organization also offers programming in Tennessee, Texas, and Maryland.
