A Bridge For Kids states that its mission is to build bridges to brighter futures for teenagers who have big aspirations but face barriers to achieving their full potential. The organization reports a 100% college placement rate over the past 9 years and notes that more than 1,000 students have been sponsored since inception. It also reports that 25% of 2026 graduates are heading to Top 20 national universities or Top 20 liberal arts colleges.
The program includes an online SAT/ACT preparatory course provided through a partnership with Revolution Prep. It offers a tutoring program where the organization works with the student’s school to find an appropriate tutor within the school system, and tutoring is ongoing until the extra help is no longer needed, provided the student complies with requirements. Through an Internship Initiative with ServiceNow, students learn to code and develop an app that addresses a real-world problem. A Technology Equality Program provides free laptops and ensures in-home internet access for students with demonstrated need. A Health & Wellness Program includes activities such as Grand Canyon trips, rock climbing, paddleboarding, snorkeling, beach volleyball, beach cleanups, and ice skating. The Crossing the Bridge program offers a customizable dorm room essentials kit for graduating students heading to college.
