About the provider

A Bridge For Kids says its mission is to build bridges to brighter futures for teenagers who have big aspirations but face barriers to achieving their full potential. In 2023, the organization awarded $30,000 in college scholarships. It works with most high schools and youth-based organizations in San Diego, interviews hundreds of students each year, and says it has sponsored 1,000+ students since inception.

What families say

“It's not easy, as a low-income teen, to live in a society filled with privileged kids, expensive stores, and a school that asks for money for literally everything. It was with the help of an incredible non-profit organization, A Bridge for Kids, that has faded my worries about how I'm going to afford the things I need.” — Eric, Princeton, Class of 2022
