About

USD Sports Camps offers sports camps where campers practice and play in athletic facilities such as the Jenny Craig Pavilion, Manchester Field, the Sports Center, Torero Stadium, the Purcell Family Championship Golf Practice Facility, and the Reggie Smith Softball Complex. The program includes resident camps in which campers stay in USD residence halls, with overnight counselors provided on each floor and lights out at 10:00 p.m. Evening recreation with structured activities is provided for housing participants under the direction of overnight counselors.

• Price: Camp dates and pricing information can be found on the camp specific pages. Full tuition is due at the time of registration, and no deposits or partial payments are accepted. There is a $75 non-refundable cancellation fee for cancellations made at least two weeks before the first day of camp, and a $150 non-refundable cancellation fee for cancellations within two weeks of camp, in both cases in addition to the initial processing fee. If a program is canceled, a full refund is given excluding processing fees. USD Conference Services charges $40 for lost keys.

USD Sports Camps states that it is committed to providing the best athletic experience for all campers and has a history of helping campers improve athletic skills, develop friendships, and learn lessons in leadership, teamwork, and responsibility. Campers learn from NCAA Division I coaches and student-athletes, and each coach selects and trains a staff of outside coaches and collegiate athletes. Experienced trainers from USD’s athletic training program are present to take preventive action and provide emergency care during the sports camps. The level and individual development of each camper is taken into consideration when coaches form training groups.

Participants are instructed not to bring large sums of money or expensive items to camp, not to leave equipment and luggage unattended, and to keep their rooms locked. Campers are asked to write their names clearly on all items they bring. Bedding and linens are not provided, so each camper brings a sleeping bag or sheets and blankets, along with a pillow. Housing and meal cards must stay with the camper at all times.
