Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo San Diego is part of a private non-profit organization named “Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo Western United States.” The mission of Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo disciplines is to contribute to the local community, nationwide in the US, and worldwide through the martial arts training program of Vovinam Viet Vo Dao and the philosophy of Vietnamese martial arts, which focuses on development of lucid intelligence, athletic body, noble mind, self-control, self-defense, self-esteem, and perseverance in a non-violent spirit. The Vovinam Việt Võ Đạo Federation of Western United States also hosts community events, including an annual Labor Day picnic and potluck at Ski Beach from 8 am to 4 pm, and a New Year's Gathering that invites Masters, students, friends, and family to celebrate the new year.
