Surge LA offers classes in Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Jazz, Tumbling, Hip Hop, and Pre Ballet/Tap. Classes are held at various times throughout the week in the afternoons and evenings, with additional morning classes on Saturdays.

Surge LA’s Dance Director is Eshe Gibbs, a professional dancer and choreographer who began her training at West Coast School of the Arts, has performed live on So You Think You Can Dance, with Cymphonique Miller and Bow Wow, at World of Dance LA and Universal CityWalk, appears in the movie Santa Clause 3, is signed with top dance agencies, is known in the U.S. for choreographing National Title Award winning routines, and was technically trained in Jazz, Ballet, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Lyrical. Instructor Aisha Gibbs is a professional performer and choreographer who trained at West Coast School of the Arts in jazz, ballet, lyrical, and tap, has worked with choreographers including Brian Friedman, Tony Czar, Marissa Osato, Will Johnston, Beau Fournier, Andre Fuentes, Tricia Miranda, and Nick Demoura, was signed by Clear Talent Agency of Los Angeles, and has worked with artists such as Miley Cyrus, Ne-Yo, Kendrick Lamar, Gwen Stefani, Pharrell Williams, Lady Gaga, and Kanye West, as well as on East Los High, the B.E.T Experience, Billboard Awards, VMA’s, B.E.T Awards, and Coachella. Instructor Julian Turner began dancing and competing at age nine, started teaching at 15, moved to Los Angeles at 17 to teach and perform professionally, has appeared on TV shows including 100 Things To Do In High School, EJ Johnson’s Sweet Sixteen, Dance Moms, MTV’s Next, and an Olivia Rodrigo live performance, has choreographed numbers that aired on TV and in China and Korea, toured on the Boys of Summer Tour, Pop Nation Tour, and Audi Tour, and choreographed for the bilingual girl group BellaDose, with a background in tumbling, gymnastics, hip hop, technique, and cheerleading. Instructor AJ Pati has been dancing for about a decade, has danced with and directed Future Shock Los Angeles, coached the Bishop Alemany High School dance team, taught and choreographed for Royalty Dance Academy, teaches at Surge Los Angeles, studied kinesiology with a dance option at Cal State University, Northridge, and holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees. Instructor Chelsea Cooper is a commercial dancer and teacher in Los Angeles who danced competitively in various styles in high school, completed the Bridge into the Industry training program at Mather Dance Company in 2022, currently trains in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Hip Hop, is expected to complete her undergraduate degree in 2024 at Loyola Marymount University where she has earned scholarships for dance, and has been teaching in Southern California since 2019. Instructor Nathan Madden received his BFA from the Juilliard School, attended HSPVA in Houston and the Atlanta Ballet academies, has taught and performed around the world, danced two seasons with Ballet Jazz Montreal, toured with Twyla Tharp’s “Come Fly Away,” guested with Lar Lubovitch Dance, and began his Broadway career with CHICAGO and as an original cast member of Christopher Wheeldon’s “An American In Paris.”
