After School Programs is part of Mission Graduates’ continuum of support from kindergarten through career. The program is one of the organization’s comprehensive programs for under-resourced youth and is described as fostering growth beyond school hours.

For over 50 years, Mission Graduates has tackled educational inequities in San Francisco. Its mission is to empower youth and their families on the path to higher education, equipping them for fulfilling careers that will strengthen future generations. The organization began as a neighborhood tutoring center and has grown into a comprehensive support system that creates pathways from kindergarten to higher education and eventually careers. Mission Graduates joins the Mission Promise Neighborhood Initiative alongside 26 other nonprofits, strengthening collective impact through cradle-to-career support. A mayor’s commendation recognizes Mission Graduates’ five decades of supporting San Francisco youth and families.
