Aim High is a multi-year summer enrichment program that includes energizer games, STEM class with designing and building projects that solve real-world problems, Humanities class, and an Issues & Choices class. The daily experience also includes Lunch, Advisory, and Activities/Enrichment such as art, sports, board games, movie making, and cooking. The program includes Morning Circle Assembly and Closing Circle Assembly as part of the day.
• Ages: 10–14 years old
• Schedule: Multi-year summer program for current 5th–8th graders, with sample daily hours from 8:00am early drop off to 3:15pm dismissal, and extended care at some campuses until 5:00pm; 2026 student dates range from June 15–July 31 depending on campus
• Price: Aim High is offered at no cost to 5th–8th graders across Northern California
Aim High is a multi-year summer enrichment program offered at no cost to 5th–8th graders across Northern California, and students are expected to attend consecutive summers throughout middle school. The program is guided by CORE values of Community, Opportunity, Respect, and High Expectations, and implements restorative practices as a way to prevent as well as respond to conflict, harm, and wrong-doing, with behavior expectations and interventions rooted in these restorative practices. Aim High celebrates 40 years of summer learning and reports that 98% of alumni who completed the alumni survey are graduating high school and heading to college.
Aim High states that it is not equipped with a full SPED department at summer program locations and is unable to provide 1:1 full day support for students. Aim High describes itself as joy, belonging, and impact during the most pivotal years. One parent shared that Aim High has been a lifeline as a working parent, with a child experiencing both fun and learning, easy communication, program offerings they describe as great, and a chance for their child to experience middle school-style transitions between classes, different enrichment options, new sports, and mentorship.
