CANVAS Dance Arts

CANVAS Dance Arts offers a program that provides an inclusive and positive environment for students to explore their passion for the performing arts. The program is held at SFSU’s McKenna Theater, where students can engage in a community that values diverse teaching styles and supports both individual artistry and collaboration on creative projects.

• Schedule: General Registration for 2026 Spring classes begins November 17 at 12:00 noon.

In 2021, CANVAS Dance Arts was formed with a mission to foster a love for the performing arts in a supportive setting. The leadership team, Simone van der Meer and Angela Yuen Uyeda, guide the program with a focus on creating a welcoming community for dancers and their families.
