• Ages: 5–14 years old
The program teaches modern Jiu-Jitsu with traditional values and uses a blend of ecological, traditional, and chain drilling based training methods. The kids 5–7 program introduces basics of Jiu-Jitsu in a fun and safe environment and instills core values like self-confidence, respect, and discipline. The kids 7–9 program increases understanding of Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals and character development with more in-depth focus on techniques and sparring. The kids 10–14 program builds a solid foundation of Jiu-Jitsu techniques and concepts, includes fundamentals and some advanced techniques, and prepares students for adult style training with more sparring. Gi classes focus on traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu training while wearing the kimono (gi), and no-gi classes focus on Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu techniques without the traditional uniform. The academy offers a 3 class free trial and places emphasis on self-defense, competition, fitness, and personal development. The mission statement explains that the goal is to get students fit, durable, and confident in their ability to protect themselves and use Jiu-Jitsu for competition, losing weight, or learning something new for fun, and states that the academy is committed to helping students reach their goals.
