The program also connects with families and groups through San Francisco cooking experiences, corporate team-building and networking cooking events, and venue rentals for events and parties. Families can also engage with cooking at home through the Club Artistas monthly subscription box for kids and families to cook together.

• Ages: 5–12 years old

Culinary Artistas Kids Events & Programs was started in 2016 by founder Vanessa Silva. Since 2016, the program has brought cooking experiences to children, families, and corporate teams both online and in the Bay Area. Culinary Artistas states that it was born out of a dream to share a passion for food with the community, and that cooking is about connection, including connection to family, friends, and self. The program states a belief that kids and adults can learn to cook in a way that is both empowering and fun, and invites people to celebrate the joy of cooking and eating food together.

Culinary Artistas offers school programs in collaboration with schools and nonprofits in the Bay Area and states that it deeply values community connections, sustainable living, and making educational opportunities possible for children of all socioeconomic backgrounds. The organization states that it takes social responsibility seriously and is passionate about creating a beautiful world through food, and that it prioritizes sustainability, people and community, and a vibrant living experience. Culinary Artistas is a nationally certified Woman Business Enterprise and Minority Business Enterprise.

The program’s studio space is described as a vibrant kitchen studio with a flexible floor plan and a waterfront venue with a view, and it hosts Plate Date family events and a Spring Soirée semi-annual menu release event with professional headshots, a live DJ, interactive cooking stations, and industry leaders sharing how to curate sustainable events. Corporate cooking experiences are offered virtually, hybrid, and in person, and virtual events are available worldwide alongside in-person programs in San Francisco. Testimonials from families and organizations describe inclusive and welcoming events, family-style eating, bonding between co-workers, seamless planning and communication, interactive chefs who are patient with kids, and a venue that guests have recommended for events.
