About

Imaginate Youth Programs offers art experiences where participants create art using different materials. The program also includes field trips to art places in San Francisco as part of its activities.

• Ages: 11–18 years old
• Schedule: Imaginate Teen is an afterschool program, and Imaginate YAY is a Saturday art program during the Fall school semester

Imaginate Youth Programs includes Imaginate Teen, an afterschool program for youth artists aged 11–18 where they can try different art forms, express themselves, and make new friends. The program is structured so that students decide how often they attend, choosing one, two, or all three days per week and what kind of art they want to create. Imaginate YAY is a Saturday art program for neurodiverse young adults aged 18–22, where students can create art using different materials, go on field trips to art places in San Francisco, and connect with others who share similar interests.

The organization states that “Art changes lives” and has over 40 years of supporting artists with disabilities in San Francisco. Its mission is to partner with artists with developmental disabilities to celebrate and nurture the creative potential in all people. During open hours on Saturdays from 12:00–3:00 pm, visitors can join in on a community art project. The gallery and main studio have open hours on Thursdays from 3:00–6:00 pm, Fridays from 3:00–6:00 pm, and Saturdays from 12:00–5:00 pm, with the CE Gallery closed November 9–December 4, 2025 and December 21, 2025–January 14, 2026.
