About

JCCSF Youth & Family Programs are part of the Jewish Community Center of San Francisco, which offers a Fitness Center with state-of-the-art group fitness classes and daily classes like yoga, Pilates and tai chi. Preschoolers participate at one of three schools that focus on early learning. The programs take place in an urban and inclusive setting that is open to everyone and explore Jewish culture and traditions as a pathway for joyful, meaningful living. Year-round, the programs involve youngsters of different ages along with their families, and follow a Jewish approach to making the world better by helping the people in it be better.

The JCCSF Youth & Family Programs are part of an organization that has evolved with San Francisco for more than a century, embracing the city’s character and energy. The mission of the JCCSF is to bring people together to explore, connect and flourish, and to cultivate connections for a more vibrant community through discovery, well-being and purpose. The organization is led by a Board of Directors for 2025–2026, including officers Michael Eisler (Chair), Juliana Bunim (Vice Chair), Greg Geronemus (Vice Chair), Brent Vallat (Treasurer), Martin Tannenbaum (Secretary), and at-large members Danielle Foreman and Craig McGahey, with Peter Ross as Immediate Past Chair. Additional directors include Riva Berelson, Liz Berman, Kanishka Cheng, Alexi Dagan, Joanna Forster, Peter Friend, Alexander Germanacos, Raphael Haas, Eve Myers Loecher, Kevin Perkins, Dash Robinson, Dan Shapiro, Trisha Sherman, Neal Tandowsky and Lyn Werbach. Community involvement activities include caring for San Francisco’s coastline through a beach cleanup for young adults that connects this work with Jewish values.
