Lindamood-Bell Learning Camp

Lindamood-Bell Learning Camps provide one-to-one intervention for reading, comprehension, and math using personalized instruction with evidence-based programs. Each camp offers Visualizing and Verbalizing instruction and the On Cloud Nine program, along with a Learning Ability Evaluation that lasts 2–4 hours. Families receive student progress updates, parent practice sessions, and School Year Support as part of the instruction, and instruction is available live-online and in person with two-way interaction based on the child's individual learning needs.

For over 35 years, Lindamood-Bell has been improving the lives of students, and its mission is to help all individuals learn to read and comprehend to their potential. Learning Camps are an extension of a Lindamood-Bell Learning Center that is open for a designated portion of the year and offer the same instruction provided by Lindamood-Bell Learning Centers. Instruction is one-to-one, differentiated, and personalized using evidence-based programs such as Seeing Stars, Visualizing and Verbalizing, Talkies, Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing (LiPS), and On Cloud Nine, and Lindamood-Bell does not diagnose or label any individuals they work with. A Lindamood-Bell Learning Center or Learning Camp is the only place to receive their sensory-cognitive instruction, and Lindamood-Bell is the only official provider endorsed by the authors of these programs.

Lindamood-Bell instruction helps a wide range of individuals, children and adults, by developing language processing critical to becoming a proficient learner, and instruction is specific to the adult student’s need when serving adults. Each Lindamood-Bell location also offers Lindamood-Bell Academy, an accredited K–12 private school with flexible in-person and live online learning personalized to support each student’s individual needs and goals. Lindamood-Bell offers School Year Checkups for families who have previously attended, including a complimentary Learning Ability Evaluation, and also provides inservice workshops for school districts and Online Teacher Workshops. When many families in a community express interest in bringing Lindamood-Bell instruction to their area, Lindamood-Bell explores opening a Learning Camp in that area.

Seasonal Educational Clinicians/Tutors at Learning Camps have an interest in literacy, teaching, child development, tutoring, or academic support, and receive paid training. Lindamood-Bell utilizes unique programs authored by its co-founders, and Nanci Bell is listed as Co-founder and Author and Co-founder of Lindamood-Bell. Traditional reading and tutoring programs focus on content instruction, while Lindamood-Bell programs focus on sensory-cognitive processing necessary for reading and comprehension, and Lindamood-Bell offers live-online instruction that is evidence-based and proven effective. Lindamood-Bell Academy is an accredited K–12 private school.
