The Rise Up SF Tutoring Program offers free one-on-one tutoring, including high-impact one-on-one reading tutoring. The program also includes year-round book lending through a book lending library, parent mentoring classes, and an annual backpack and school supplies giveaway as part of its school supplies and backpacks distribution.
Urban Angels SF began in 2015. Urban Angels SF gives dignity and hope to children facing homelessness and poverty in San Francisco through holistic, year-round educational support. Through the Rise Up SF! campaign, Urban Angels SF provides educational support for San Francisco’s most underserved students, with a focus on improving literacy to break the cycle of disadvantage. Urban Angels SF builds trusted partnerships with donors, schools, shelters, volunteers, and families to strengthen their collective impact. Urban Angels SF is a GuideStar Platinum-Certified organization for governance, administration, openness, and financial transparency.
