The San Francisco Sabercats offer In-house Youth Hockey, A & B Travel Hockey, and Skating School for ages 3 to 18. In-house Youth Hockey has practices twice a week on weekends and open enrollment and drop in. A & B Travel Hockey runs from mid August through mid March with practices 2 to 3 times per week and games 1 to 2 times per week. Skating School uses age- and skill-based classes that cover forward and backward skating, gliding, stopping, edge control, and crossovers.
Programs
- In-house Youth Hockey — Practice all year around; practices twice a week (weekends); open enrollment and drop in · In-house hockey introduces young players to competitive hockey in a fun, instructive environment.
- A & B Travel Hockey — Season runs mid August through mid March; practices 2-3 times per week; games 1-2 times per week · San Francisco travel teams play competitive youth hockey at the A and B levels during the NorCal season.
- Skating School — 3 to 17 years of age · Classes are grouped by age and skill level · ISI group classes emphasize skating fundamentals, including forward and backward skating, gliding, stopping, edge control, and crossovers.
- Hockey Camps and Clinics — No current camps are running for 2024.

About the provider
The Sabercats are dedicated to the development of young athletes through the sport of ice hockey. Their coaches are experienced, USA Hockey certified instructors.
Participants enrolled in any ISI Hockey Class are eligible to skate a free public session the day of their class. They also receive a 10% discount on all merchandise in the Yerba Buena Pro Shop and 2 free guest passes for friends or family.
