The San Francisco Youth Baseball League (SFYBL) is a collaboration between the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department and SF FLAME, which is the San Francisco Fire Department youth athletics program. Its stated mission is to provide all children in San Francisco a healthy activity that develops character and fosters positive relationships among youth and dedicated volunteers. SFYBL is run by an Executive Board made up of members from the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department and SF FLAME, along with volunteers who serve as Commissioners and San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department Technical Advisors. The Board of Directors and Division Commissioners of SFYBL are all volunteers, and the league also receives assistance from a Volunteer Board of Commissioners and a Volunteer League Support Group.
