Unleashing Potential After School Program includes academic support, homework assistance, and tutoring, along with project-based learning and enrichment activities. The program offers STEM and STEAM activities, literacy development, social-emotional development, positive play, character education, and access to a computer lab. Children also take part in music, fitness, nutrition, cooking, art, and field trips as part of the program.

• Schedule: Operates Monday through Friday from 2pm to 6pm, excluding holidays and school breaks
Booker T. Washington Community Service Center is one of the Bay Area’s oldest Black-led, Black-serving nonprofit organizations, with over 106 years of service to San Francisco and over five generations of San Franciscans nurtured. The organization describes itself as a beacon of Black joy and self-determination that uplifts and serves the community, builds intergenerational bonds, and works in solidarity with allied communities to reform and reimagine San Francisco. It is one of the few urban spaces where anyone in the community can access comprehensive services, including a hot meal, childcare, academic support, and senior services. BTWCSC has been awarded a Bezos Day 1 Families Fund Grant and describes itself as an anchor institution fostering intergenerational bonds and working toward a more inclusive San Francisco. The program is presented as a safe, fun, and culturally relevant educational option for parents with children in grades K–8, with a curriculum-based approach to academic support that includes a STEM and STEAM focus and a warm and nurturing environment for 6th–8th grade neighborhood youth.
