The Saturday Conservatory of Music offers small group instrument lessons, music theory class, ensemble class, choir, jazz improvisation, and composition. The basic class package includes three classes each Saturday morning: small group instrument lesson, music theory class, and ensemble class. Choir is offered as an ensemble option for children who learn nonorchestral instruments or voice training.

At a glance
- General schedule: Meets on Saturday mornings; three quarters per year: Fall, Winter, and Spring; does not meet for Summer quarter. Classes are 50 minutes long.
- Facility hours: Open Saturdays only; office hours 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.; instruction 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
About the provider
The Saturday Conservatory of Music was established in 1966. Its mission is to provide a low cost, more individualized musical experience than is offered in public school music programs. It strongly supports school music programs, and conservatory students are required to participate in their respective school music programs, if available.
Attendance is mandatory. Missed classes will result in being dropped from the class. Practice is mandatory: 20 to 30 minutes per day per instrument is the minimum. Unruly or destructive behavior will result in removal from the program without refund. Student must be present for registration and audition. You must bring your instrument(s). Be prepared to play music the student is familiar with. It does not need to be memorized.
