ATA Gymnastics (Aerial Tumbling & AcroGymnastics) offers tumbling, acrobatics, and acrobatic gymnastics, including foundational movement skills for pre-schoolers. The program includes recreational tumbling classes, adult tumbling classes, and competitive and pre-competitive acrobatic gymnastics teams. ATA Gymnastics also offers Gymster, Recreational, Adult, and Team programs, with a curriculum described as a building-block progression of tumbling skills.
• Ages: 1–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options are available throughout the week, with hours offered on weekdays and weekends at both the San Jose and Campbell gyms; tuition is based on an approximate average of 4 classes per month over a one-year period, and monthly tuition remains consistent even when a month has 3, 4, or 5 classes.
• Price: Trials are $20 for Recreational classes and free for Gymsters.
Aerial Tumbling & AcroGymnastics (ATA Gymnastics) was founded in 1995, and in 2022 the business was passed to former ATA team athlete Brennan Atsatt. The leadership team includes Owner & GM Brennan Atsatt, Team Head Coach Samantha Servellon, Gymster Manager Cathy Pinheiro, Front Desk & Accounts Manager Heather Vachon, Acro Team Manager Reedell Aragon, Acro Program Coordinator Allison Tokunaga, Rec Supervisor Kelsey Stephenson, Int. Team Coach & Assistant Manager Alyissa Reser, Dev. Team Coach Tiana Terry, Senior Coaches Serrell Davis and Alex Lam, and Assistant Customer Service Manager Chennelle Jarrett. Several staff members have competed nationally and internationally in acrobatic gymnastics and have coached national champions and USA National Team Members.
Staff credentials include Brennan Atsatt’s B.S. in Mathematics and numerous national and international awards, including a podium finish at the 2014 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships. Team Head Coach Samantha Servellon was named to the US Jr. National Team and earned a medal at the Pan American Championships. Heather Vachon competed nationally and internationally and was selected to travel to Liévin, France for the 2004 Acrobatic Gymnastics World Championships. Senior Coach Alex Lam has won multiple national titles and is currently competing at the Senior Elite level. Acro Program Coordinator Allison Tokunaga has coached several national champions as well as USA National Team Members. Assistant Customer Service Manager Chennelle Jarrett holds a degree in Kinesiology from San Jose State University and is trained in ballet, jazz, hip hop, Dunham, and modern dance. Rec Supervisor Kelsey Stephenson earned a B.S. in Psychology and Social Action and an M.A. in Education with an Emphasis in Special Education.
ATA states that its mission is to harness the ancient discipline of gymnastics to teach physical and social skills for lifelong wellbeing. The program emphasizes small-group learning to provide personalized coaching while fostering peer motivation, and its recreational program features five levels to tailor instruction. ATA Gymnastics offers trials for classes, with free trials for Gymsters, and does not currently offer private lessons due to high demand and limited resources.
