AVAC Swim School

AVAC Swim School offers swim lessons, camps, safety courses, Learn to Swim classes, Adult Swim Lessons, Open Swim, Pre-Comp, and special events such as kids night. The program includes Barnacles class, parent tot classes, and options for independent swimming without a parent. Swimmers are grouped by age and ability, and the program uses AVAC's proprietary child-development-based methods, with resources available to help prepare swimmers before, during, and after their lessons.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Class and swim options available Monday–Friday with daytime and evening hours, and weekend hours on Saturday and Sunday
• Price: Group lessons are $49.50 per class. Tuition is automatically debited on the 20th of every month for the following month and will depend on the number of times a class meets in a month. A typical billing cycle is considered to be 4 weeks, and if a class meets for more or less than 4 weeks, tuition is adjusted accordingly. Discounts are offered when 3 or more swimmers from the same family are enrolled, with a 10% Double Day discount.

AVAC Swim School has been local and family owned since 1976 and offers year-round lessons. The program includes a free Barnacles class starting at 8 weeks and going up to 5 months. The pool is a custom-built open air pool heated to 90, with improved air quality. The program states that a person is never too old to learn how to swim. AVAC Swim School lists leadership that includes Danielle Griffith-Jones (Associate General Manager), Sheena Comarsh (Associate Swim School Director), Siena Ruiz (Site Manager), Coral Zohar (Site Manager), and Daniel Ramm.
