About

AYSO Section 2 Youth Soccer Programs offers youth soccer programs that include the Section 2 Tournament 2025 for Regional core teams. The program includes specific activities such as the Section 2 Tournament 2025, a Regional core teams tournament, a referee call, and a Section 2 Coach Meeting. Official tournament procedures include the use of game cards provided by Tournament Staff and team check-ins on both Saturday and Sunday with all coaches and players present.

• Schedule: Section 2 Tournament 2025 takes place on Saturday, December 13 and Sunday, December 14, 2025, with a referee call on December 11, 2025 at 8 pm and a Section 2 Coach Meeting on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 7 pm.

The program’s stated mission is “Providing world class youth soccer programs that enrich children's lives.” The leadership for Section 2 includes Duston Denver as the S2 Director. Unique program features include the EPIC Program - Everyone Plays in Our Community, the AYSO PLAY! program, and the 2026 Section 2, 9 & 12 Expo. The 2025 Section Tournament is for Regional core teams that are selected by their Area, and official tournament rosters must include jersey numbers and be entered into the Section 2 Tournament portal in jersey number order no later than December 10, 2025.

Tournament requirements include ID cards for coaches and players, and a tournament roster from the Association Platform that must accompany the team and include jersey numbers. Coaches must provide PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT AND PLAYER MEDICAL RELEASE FORMS with an e-signature from the Association Platform and have these forms with them at all times during the tournament. Teams are given game cards by Tournament Staff and are instructed to bring four completed cards, and late arriving players must be escorted to the check-in station by a team official along with their PARENT/GUARDIAN CONSENT AND PLAYER MEDICAL RELEASE FORM. AYSO’s broader community involvement includes a Chicago Public Schools partnership to enhance youth sports programming, a partnership with the US Center for Mental Health & Sport focused on player and volunteer wellness, and a partnership with Northland Sports Alliance expanding soccer programming in Kansas City, as well as support for the U.S. Soccer Athletes Council regarding concerns about the U.S. Center for SafeSport. The American Youth Soccer Organization has also been recognized through the Stack Leadership Award given to Michael Karon, President of AYSO, for his impact in the world of sports volunteering.
