Chitresh Das Institute Kathak Classes offers Kathak dance classes and Summer Intensives in Kathak. Classes are organized by level, including Beginning I, Beginning II, Intermediate I, and Intermediate II, and are scheduled on weekdays and weekends during Summer 2026. Summer Intensives are offered for Beginning I, Beginning II, and Intermediate I & up students.

• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Summer 2026 eight-week semester from June 7 to August 25, 2026, with class options on Sundays in the morning and afternoon and on weekdays in the late afternoon and evening

The program’s leadership team includes Artistic Director Charlotte Moraga, Executive Director Celine Schein Das, Operations & School Manager Bhavya K. Jain, Youth Company Assistant Director Asavari Ukidve, and Video Production Specialist Kritika Sharma. Kathak dance faculty includes Charlotte Moraga (Co-Founder), Anita Pai (Founding Teacher), Preeti Zalavadia (Co-Founder), Asavari Ukidve (Founding Teacher), Celine Schein Das (Co-Founder), Rucha Khisti, Gauri Bhatnagar, Samyukta Patil, and Vanita Mundhra, with teaching assistants Avani Viswanathan, Ananti Badhwar, and Maahi Desai. The Board of Directors includes Celine Schein Das, Lori Laqua, Charlotte Moraga, and Preeti Zalavadia, and the Advisory Board includes Ramen Chakrabarti, Atashi Chakravorty, and Fahmida Bangert.

The Chitresh Das Institute states that it seeks to ignite the world’s passion for Kathak dance and Indian classical arts, with art rooted in tradition, responding to the present, and guided by community, legacy, and seva (service). The organization notes that it is committed to connecting new generations to this tradition through the teachings, philosophy, and pedagogy of Pandit Chitresh Das. The program describes its offerings as world class performance and instruction in the art of Kathak dance, with world class training in Kathak dance, programs within tradition, professional and pre-professional dance companies (Chitresh Das Dance and Chitresh Das Youth Company), classes, a school show, professional teacher training, and a fellowship program developing the next generation of professional Kathak dancers and teachers. It also notes “Art for the Planet: art with a message,” new student classes for ages 6–60+, and that Chitresh Das Dance / CDYC participation is by invitation only.
