East West Music and Dance offers classes in Jazz, Ballet, Tap, Contemporary, Lyrical, Hip Hop, Acrobatic Dance, and K-Pop. The program also offers music lessons, summer dance workshops, and summer dance classes in state-of-the-art dance studios and private music lesson rooms.
• Ages: 3–18 years old
• Schedule: Class and lesson options Monday–Thursday afternoons and evenings, Friday afternoons and evenings, and Saturday late mornings to early afternoons
East West Music and Dance states that it provides a fun, family-friendly and positive learning experience for performing arts students of all ages. The program offers group and private classes in multiple dance styles, with personal attention and individualized instruction for each student and a focus on age-appropriate choreography and costuming. East West Music and Dance has been inspiring dancers since 1975, with over fifty years of experience teaching dance in the San Jose, Cupertino and Saratoga area.
The program includes a Performing Company, EWMD PC, formed so dancers can perform outside of the studio. EWMD PC provides several opportunities to perform at local and community events each year, and dancers in EWMD PC can participate in local and national competitions and conventions, if desired. Auditions for EWMD PC are held every year in May for ages 8 and up.
