About
Genius Academy offers classes from kindergarten through 8th grade, including a Writing & Grammar Program, Elementary Math, Chinese, Middle School English, Middle School Math, Middle School Study Hall, a Friday Elective Program, tutoring, and Study Hall. The program also offers a summer camp, an Open House, a Chinese Speech Contest, an English Speech Contest, and a Summer Seminar. The Writing & Grammar Program focuses on communication skills, basic grammar, and listening and reading skills, while the Elementary Math classes strengthen logical thinking abilities and teach basic mathematical functions and problem solving in addition, subtraction, measurement, time, and shapes. The Chinese program immerses students in Chinese culture and teaches recognition of Chinese characters and pinyin, basic rules of pronunciation, vocabulary, numbers, colors, and salutations.

Genius Academy’s Middle School English classes emphasize development of composition and critical reading skills and stronger vocabulary using literature including short story, non-fiction, novel, drama, and poetry. Middle School Math is designed to prepare students for high school and college level mathematics by increasing proficiency in essential mathematics skills and introducing pre-algebra and geometric concepts. Middle School Study Hall is teacher guided and includes homework help and tutoring in all subjects, along with practice in organizational and study skills. The Friday Elective Program offers a variety of options in literature, public speaking, journalism, engineering, and hands-on critical thinking games. The tutoring program is individualized and allows students to review any subject they are struggling with, and the summer camp focuses on having fun while learning and reviewing different subjects to prepare for the following school year.
