Grail Family Services Programs for Families

Grail Family Services Programs for Families offers innovative programs that give children a strong start and provide parents with knowledge and tools to support their children’s healthy development and learning. The programs include the Building Blocks of Parenting (BBP) App, which is available in English and Spanish for free and supports parents and caregivers during the early years. Each program and service includes documented expected outcomes, which are measured and reviewed in the spirit of continuous improvement. The organization also offers professional development for teachers and childcare providers to promote family engagement, early literacy, early math, and equitable partnerships that support child success.

Grail Family Services partners with families, schools, and communities to promote children’s success and well-being. The Grail, the founding organization of Grail Family Services, came to the Mayfair Community in the 1960s. Grail Family Services engages in collaborative initiatives that strengthen the community by promoting equity, uplifting parent voices, and advocating for change that responds to community needs, and it involves community families in the design of programs and incorporates their voice. Grail Family Services collaborates with Si Se Puede Collective partners on the “Jobs to Grow” program. The organization states a commitment to using an equity lens, best practices, and the voice of the community in the development and implementation of all programs, services, and initiatives.

A parent testimonial describes a mother who first came to Grail Family Services nine years ago with her baby to attend the NuParent program and ESL classes, later went to high school, and is now going to college, and she reports that learning English was very important to her and that she wants to help people as Grail Family Services helped her and be an example for her daughter.
