About

San Jose Police Activities League offers youth sports and fitness programs that include Jr. Giants, soccer, tackle football, flag football, cheer, boxing, and Tae Kwon Do. The program runs multiple activities that connect young people with police officers and community members through these organized athletic options.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:30 AM–5:30 PM

Created in 1967, the San Jose Police Activities League was started under the leadership of Sgt. Jim J. Guido, a well-respected member of the San Jose Police Department and the driving force behind its creation. The mission of the San Jose Police Activities League is to forge an everlasting bond between police, youth, and community through athletics, academics, and acts of goodwill. The program offers healthy, safe activities to youth as an alternative to street crime, drugs, and violence and fosters positive relationships between law enforcement and the community through various educational and recreational programs.
